Aldo Rossi |
Born in Milan in 1931, Rossi died in 1997. He began his career in 1956 in Ignazio Gardella’s studio and then worked for some years with Marco Zanuso. A theoretician, writer, painter, teacher and architect, he is famous the world over and considered the greatest Italian architect of the second half of the 20th century. In 1990 he was awarded the Pritzker Prize for architecture and described by the jury as: “A poet who happens to be an architect”.
4000 Momento
“Momento” by Aldo Rossi was the first watch in the history of Alessi, and a new version is now being introduced. The watch is composed of a simple double steel case: an inner case enclosing the movement and dial, mounted in an outer case. The inner one can be removed and reinserted easily, making it possible to use it for both the wristwatch and pocket-watch. |
